And do you trust her?
The grandmother of my Intentional Creativity® lineage Sue Hoya-Sellars always asked the question "who lives in here?" And Shiloh carried on that question, and so do the teachers in the Guild. Because that is the quintessential question, who lives in here? Do you know? Do you trust yourself, and trust in a co-creative relationship with the Divine which is both in and out of you, it lives in every thing, every where, all the time for all time. Do you know what your assignment is?
I have said this before, I listen, I feel, I respond. A few things I heard this week, one of which broke my heart wide open. I heard that many women do not sleep at night because they are dreading their days, in essence dreading their lives. I know that is not all of us, but it is more than I thought. I also heard in response to my letter last week, that there are time stuffers, but then there are those sitting in the opposite space, not doing anything except maybe bingewatching Netflix, not acting upon their sacred assignments, depressed, lost. All of these things have the same root, fear instead of love, fear of visibility, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of just being, there is inertia, confusion, or the opposite, busyness and over-giving and doing. Again same root cause, different Inner Mean Girl and way of manifesting the fears.
And as I sit with this, all I can think is most of us (not all..but that is a whole other conversation on the state of women around the globe) are :
Yes that is right, we are at choice to make a change, to write a new story, to ask the question, "who lives in here?" And then love her fiercely, all the parts, and trust her with every fiber of your being. No one else is going to make that choice for you. Now I am not saying if you have trauma or tragedy or health issues that you CHOSE them, just the opposite really. But you do have choice to create a new story with what you have been given...which is your essence, your gifts, and your sacred assignment. A few weeks ago I was at a retreat and heard some pretty inspirational stories from women around the world who seemingly have no choice yet they are choosing to happen to life, not let life happen to them. I heard stories of women from Africa who were saved from fates we could not even conceive of, I heard a story of a woman who had her leg amputated and went on to win a silver medal in the Paralympic games, I heard the story of a young woman who was born with severe mental retardation and can now communicate, write books, and tell her story. I was humbled. I am not saying this to throw anyone into judgement, because a wise teacher once told me that no one's pain is better or worse than another's. But we can all be at choice to let the pain define us, or to let our essence, our gifts, and our assignment define us. They also did not do their work alone, they had support from soul sisters, mothers(blood and soul mothers) , healers, the Divine and community.
So as I have spent the last 20 years, but most deeply the last three transcending and transmuting my stories, there are 5 quintessential facets I work with for myself and others and I have a daily practice where I tap in and use these as my compass, so that my life is created from possibilities and from my heart and soul desires.
Knowing my soul essences
Knowing, claiming and sharing my Divinely given gifts
Knowing my sacred assignment and making sure my energy is used to bring it into form
Non-negotiable Self-Love in all aspects-the light, the shadows, the hot messes, all of it
Non-negotiable trust in my Inner Wisdom, Co-Creation with Divine, and the sisterhood and support structures I have created.
The only way to know and live this way and from the possibilities is to make the space to quiet down long enough to learn who lives in here, to LOVE and to TRUST.
So my Inner Wisdom told me to create a program that teaches women how to tap into this wisdom I have been blessed enough to receive from several lineages and my co-creation with the Divine, to tap into their own wisdom, and to have daily practices, that do not require hours on a meditation cushion, but that they can bring into their daily modern lives. These teachings bring you into the deep inner knowing of what you are here for, what your gifts are, and living from your essence, not what the external world thinks you should be, and to trust your wisdom with every fiber of your being. And to do it in a small group so that we are all witnessed, seen, heard, and feel a sense of sisterhood and belonging. It is called She Trusts and begins in January. I would love for you to join me and 11 other women.
For those of you who are not in Colorado I also do this work virtually and have a one on one program called Vision Weaver that I only take 3 women through from Winter to Summer Solstice. That program also includes bringing your life and work visions into form so you can share your gifts with the world.
If this calls to you, I invite you to dive deeper into the details, and if its in resonance I invite you to a complementary 30 minute call with me to discuss your desires.,
If none of these speak to you, there are so many one day classes that I am musing on and the Jan-March calendar will be hopefully complete by next week. Before the end of the year, there may be one more class on the cycles of motherhood, and there will be a Winter Solstice sound healing evening with Crystal Blue on December 8th, and then I go into reflection time through the end of the year. But I can say we will be creating sacred symbols for 2019 with guest teacher Whitney Freya, there will be 2019 visioning paintings, sacred assignment, a process called Insight, circles on Self-Love and Heart Art and lots of goodies coming.
Love and Light,
